Who We are

Our clinical and community partnership

Patient and nurse holding hands

Making cancer pain management safer for patients, providers, and their communities.

The Opioids and Cancer resource database equips patients and providers with the tools they need to navigate cancer pain with confidence and insight. Compiled by the team at Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center with support from the Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority, these resources are designed to close gaps in knowledge, support informed decision-making, and promote safer use of opioids during and after cancer treatment.

Community Advisory Board

Our Community Advisory Board is composed of current and former patients, family members, and community health educators, each with personal experience with cancer and prescription opioids for pain management.
